You can start the day by walking around Old Town. The highlight of your Dubrovnik trip is the medieval city walls that surround this remarkable city. It takes around two hours to walk along the wall and you get a phenomenal view of Dubrovnik from above. If you are visiting Dubrovnik in the summer season, it is advisable that you take this walk early in the morning. Old Town has some of the best restaurants which are also budget-friendly. So when you are hungry, treat your taste buds with a delicious lunch.
In the afternoon, you can walk around Stradun Street which is very popular in Dubrovnik. This place is full of architectural wonders, historic museums, souvenir and coffee shops. Franciscan Monastery museum is situated across the iconic Onofrio’s Fountain. The remarkable thing to witness in this monastery is the cloister which is one of the most magnificent structures in the Dalmatian coast. Another highlight is the pharmacy that has been continuously dispensing medicine since 1317. Once you reach the other end of Stradun Street, you can find a few other iconic landmarks namely the City Hall, Sponza Palace, Bell Tower and the Synagogue Museum. Old Town has all the possible attractions that can be easily covered within a few hours.
Finish the day by taking a cable car ride to Mount Srd. This ride takes only five minutes to reach to the top. From the top of Mount Srd, you get to witness the magical sunset and a breathtaking view of the city. There is a nice restaurant up there where you can indulge in some wine and bask in the beauty of nature.
The second day starts with a ferry ride to Lokrum Island. It takes around twenty minutes to reach the island from Dubrovnik. Ferries are available at different times of the day and you can schedule your trip accordingly. Lokrum Island has a number of hiking trails and beaches where you can spend the day exploring or relaxing. The island is home to many peacocks. So you might spot a peacock during your visit. You can also binge on some snacks in the little snacks bar before returning back.
One of the most popular beaches in Dubrovnik is Banje Beach. Located near Old Town, Banje is not a sandy beach. It is pebbly but the water is crystal clear. So throw down the towel and have an exclusive beach time here.

If you want to enjoy a beach holiday in Dubrovnik, the best time to visit is in the month of September and October when the temperature is warm and the city is less crowded.
