Day 1: Old Goa

You might think that there is not a lot of things to do in Old Goa but this is absolutely untrue. Earlier, during the time of Portuguese rule, Old Goa was the capital of Goa so there are a lot of amazing Portuguese buildings and structures that one can explore here. You can explore some really amazing historical ruins including some old cathedrals, churches, and so on.
One of the most famous cathedrals to explore in Old Goa is the Basilica of Bom Jesus which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will find the remnants of St. Francis Xavier. This has become an important Christian landmark and is one of the oldest churches in Goa.
Apart from the cathedrals, chapels, and churches, you also have some huge forts here which were built during the Indian and Portuguese rule. One such famous fort is the ‘Fort Aguada’ which has been partly turned into a luxury hotel now. Built by the Portuguese, Fort Aguada and its lighthouse are the 17th-century marvel and also have an underground prison which was used greatly during Salazar’s rule.
On the Sinquerim beach, you can also go for the Dolphin tour or indulge in some other water sports like the banana ride, parasailing, and so on. Once you are done exploring, you can head back to your hotel for a delicious dinner and rest for the night.
Day 2: North Goa
The next day, you can start exploring the North Goa which is most famous for shopping and its nightlife.
