Here we take a look at 4-day itinerary for your honeymoon packages for Sikkim and Darjeeling
Day 1: Gangtok
After your flight to Bagdogra, you will take a taxi to Gangtok. This is a 4-hour drive but goes through some really scenic places.
The first day in Gangtok will include seeing the major sights around Gangtok including the Rumtek Monastery which is around 20 kilometres from Gangtok, Tashi View point which is a great place to enjoy panaromic views of the Himalayas and especially of Kanchenjunga and the cable car ride which will give you a bird’s eye view of Gangtok.
The evening can be spent shopping around Lal Bazaar and checking out MG Road which has some good bars and restaurants.
Day 2: Gangtok
You can leave early morning to Nathu La Pass. This pass is at an altitude of around 14,000 feet above sea level and is on the border of India and Tibet.
While heading back you can also visit the pristine Tsomgo lake. The lake is surrounded by the mountains and has the beautiful rhodendrons in its surrounds.
As both these places are closed to the border, please carry the necessary photo IDs and a couple of passport size photographs for the permits.
Day 3: Gangtok to Darjeeling
Gangtok to Darjeeling is approximately a 4-hour drive. Darjeeling has been a tourist haven since the time of the British and you will still see some of the remnants of the Raj to this day.
Some of the top sights to visit in Darjeeling are the tea plantations, the joy train ride and Himalayan Zoological Park which has some of the local fauna found in the Himalayas.
Day 4: End of your honeymoon package for Sikkim and Darjeeling
You might have to start your day at an unearthly hour to see the most heavenly sight possible. The sunrise from Tiger Hill. You will see the sun kissing the snow-capped majesty that is the Kanchenjunga.
You can now head back to Bagdogra to take your flight back home.
