Considered to Bali’s oldest Resort town, Sanur is filled with cultural, historical and natural attractions. Sanur beach has a laid back feel to it and offers a picturesque promenade. Apart from its beach, the other attractions include the Le Mayeur Museum, which was the home of Belgian impressionist Adrian Jean Le Mayeur. The artist so fell in love with Bali and its culture that he decided to stay there forever. Pura Blanjong is Sanur’s most important temple and makes for a good stop to get a glimpse of the Balinese traditions.
At a distance of 3 km from Sanur is Serangan Island Turtle Conservation Centre, where one can learn about the conservations initiatives. Sanur is also known to host the International Kite festival in the month of July. If you happen to be here during this time, you’ll see numerous giant Balinese kites decorate the sky.
Sanur offers enough sightseeing options to keep the enthusiastic tourists satisfied and the lazier tourists completely relaxed. If Sanur sounds like the pace you need to be at right now, then take a look at our Bali Holiday packages to plan a hassle-free vacation.
